I have been reflecting on how we can capitalize on that dedication to, and enthusiasm for, the College so that it is in play all year around. I am often thanked (sometimes profusely) for taking the time to attend, even though, as the saying goes, “It’s my job.” One of the things that has most impressed me on my travels is the enthusiasm for and dedication to the College that Fellows demonstrate at the events that I attend. Nevertheless, in the words of Robert Frost, “I have miles to go before I sleep.” With the number of early morning flights that I have had to take, that is becoming literally true. It is hard for me to believe that my term as President is already 2/3 complete.

I also have to explain why and how the: imperial govt was failing to meet the needs of the people, families were falling apart, society was in a state of disarray and what the root cause was for all of these ills and how they can be corrected. Is there anyone that could point out some of these for me to give me an idea of what to look for? I've just finished reading the book and am having difficulty looking back and seeing what things the author focused on. I have a history essay I have to write in which I have to discuss the 'ill's of Imperial China seen through the eyes of the anonymous author of Celebrated Cases of Judge Dee.
